Our Fresh Tomato Salsa has only 7 ingredients and comes together in less than 10 minutes. So next time you are in a supermarket, reach out for fresh tomatoes instead of a jar of Tomato Salsa! Â
Serve your homemade Salsa Fresca with nachos for a quick appetizer or along with your favorite Mexican dishes!Â
We make this Tomato Salsa all the time, with the freshest of the Ingredients and it costs us literally less than One British Pound for a bowl of serving.
Most of the ingredients are always stocked in my refrigerator – It is always Mexican Salsa time at home.
This Fresh Tomato Salsa, is made using Tomatoes, Onion, Chilli, Garlic, Coriander, Lime, and Seasoning. However, for a family-friendly version, I like to give the Chili peppers a miss!
Sometimes for a variation, I like to add some Roasted Salted Peanuts too. Try this Peanut Salsa next time – you will come back to tell me how much you loved it!
Have you tried adding Green Bell Pepper to your Salsa – They are delicious too!
How to make Fresh Tomato Salsa in a food processor?
Homemade Tomato Salsa is really quick and easy to make. It is made with only 5 easily available ingredients.
Add the all the ingredients to a food processor jar. Process until still chunky.
Your freshest homemade Salsa is ready in minutes.Â
You can chill them in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days. I have not tried freezing this Salsa as we hardly have any leftovers.
Tips to make the Best Tomato salsa recipe
Pick Firm Fleshy Tomatoes for the Salsa like Romas. However, any tomato will work.
Deseed the Chilli Peppers for Salsa with less heat.
Season the Salsa just before serving. Adding Salt in advance could leave the salsa watery.
Salsa tastes best when it is freshly made. So serve immediately!
Serving Suggestions for Fresh Tomato salsa
I like to serve fresh homemade food processor Tomato Salsa with Tortilla Chips or Nachos Chips. We also love Salsa in our Mexican favorites – Quesadilla, Tacos, and Burritos!Â
For a Cheesy Nachos Platter – Lay the Nachos on a serving platter. Top with this Tomato Salsa, Jalapeños, and Grated Cheese. Melt the cheese under a grill and enjoy.

Dear Sandhya
Thinking of salsa takes one to the Italian ones and their spices. This is different specially the chopped coriander. I shall try it on roasted PapaD.
