It’s the time of the year to slip in gorgeous dresses, hang around in shorts and let your foot loose wearing slippers. And we know British BBQ Season is in along with the gorgeous weather.
Barbecued Food, Spicy Flavours, Chilled Beer, Skewered Vegetables is a part of the BBQ tradition that we celebrate with friends and family every year. Kids chill out spending hours having Water Gun fights, munching snacks of their choices and also choosing their choice of rainbow vegetables to thread onto the Sticks. Oh, what fun!!
Whilst we enjoy the mild heat, lazing in the garden over the bank holiday weekend, we also enjoy gossiping, drinking chilled mocktails/cocktails, beer as it suits everyone. This year whilst we enjoyed our customary burger, Paneer Tikka’s with an array of dips, we innovated a tortilla pizza in a jiffy to satisfy some instant cravings and they were all gone before we realised.
The tortilla pizza had some bbq marinated chickpeas, sliced vegetables, and ranch dressing!! We actually did not realise that there was no Cheese to it!! (
Shhh we forgot to grate some )It was an absolute guilt free pizza that can be enjoyed with ease.
When Chippa, UK’s only free-from condiment range asked me to create a free-from BBQ recipe to rejoice the National BBQ Week celebrations ( (30 May – 5 June), I recreated this recipe yet again in under 30 minutes.Condiments from Chippa were my companions to make it a Free-from meal at ease. In fact, none at home knew about going free-form when I made them again. So a Yay Moment !!
