Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies = Satisfying Indulgence + Guilt Free for Wholegrain Lovers.
This Oats Chocolate Chip Cookies is surely my cookie on-the-go, using Rolled Oats from my pantry into the recipe. Incredibly Soft & Chewy and so easy to make are these Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies.
On a chaotic school day afternoon as we parked the car, the kiddos fled into the house like a storm. One wanting to Wee urgently whilst the other was keen in getting hold of the Remote to the Tele. With barely 15 minutes before we could step out for Swimming lessons, they enjoyed their popcorn straight out of the packets. One loves Sweet & Salt whilst the other one likes plain salted. Elder getting dressed right in the dining room in last 5 minutes and stuffing the needed clothes to change right into his waterproof bag. And we again fled ! First, they get into their respective seats and then as I ( the mumma ) checks if he has got everything needed for swimming, we realised – Oopsie Daisy !! He had missed the towel at home.
As I quickly rush to the door to grab the much-needed towel, I really couldn’t go in !! Mumma has accidentally picked the spare car key that doesn’t have the home key .. Still rushed the No 1 to swimming while missy and mummy carefully began to plot what to do.
Call to Dad and we realised, he has not taken his keys to work too. And he decides to leave work soon to sort things out. We call up the Agent and she rummages her draw. Little did we know she has misplaced too. With a very calm head, I rang my Handyman and he convincingly said – ” Nothing to worry Sandy” We can drill through if you want and walk in. Sigh !!! At least we have a solution !
With a calm head,10% of Battery on phone and no wallet – sitting inside the car, I was hoping my bedroom window on the first floor was left open to let the cool breeze in. That was it !! I had as I remembered!
Buzzed my next door neighbours door and my son jumped from their garden to ours climbing the tree. And let the latch of our garden door open. That’s exactly what the boys do when they have fun . Monkey Antics.. At least it came handy for a change.
Once Dad came back home, He carefully positioned the ladder, climbed at least 20 steps and slid himself inside.. And then you know what exactly would have happened!!
Nearly 8 and 9 Years old boys clapped spontaneously . So did my neighbours and me !! Phew .. Those two hours demanded so much of patience, calmness, and steady mind.
That was one weekday afternoon at my place !!!!
Without much ado, let me share a recipe for Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies . Family could barely make out any presence of any whole grain!! Looks ditto like any other Chocolate Chip Cookies. H would grab one plus from the cookie jar every single relinquishing every bite till all of them were gone. My son loves them for breakfast, snack and what not!! Guess this was so much testifying that I am going to make them all over again to replenish the jar.
