Mango Passionfruit Smoothie Bowl

When every other person on my social feed has been posting Smoothie Bowls for a while, I have always had smoothie in a tall mug.  Its high time, I say  “Hello Smoothie Bowls” !! And now Hello “Mango Passionfruit Smoothie Bowl” !

Smoothie Bowls are wholesome meals with a array of favourite fruits, nuts, granola etc.  When you are giving it a maiden attempt, it has to be the best flavors going together.. Agreed?   I went up for a successful marriage combo – Mango Passionfruit Smoothie Bowl.

The day before we were leaving for Dusseldorf Holidays, I made us 2 gorgeous bowls for Breakfast Brunch..       Usually, I do have panic attacks before distant travels to ensure all the cooking, cleaning, watering the plants, cab booking  etc are winded up before travel and not done in the last minute. At times its quite taxing and the whole fun of going for a holiday goes ga ga…  and everytime I talk to myself saying – “Get over it soon”.

So this time, we had some super quick Meals before travel and this also means very little Kitchen cleaning..

Mango Passionfruit Smoothie Bowl

Well the whole idea of Mango Passionfruit Smoothie Bowl was to bring together my favourite healthy ingredients and trust me it was simply delicious.  To my blender, in went mango puree, passionfruit, oatmeal, a bit of sweetener and finally my secret ingredient ( mango passion fruit yogurt ).   Oh my word, it was gorgeous looking and we licked the bowl clean with absolutely nothing to wash.

Heyy with just the Smoothie not being enough, we topped it up with our favourite fruits  – Sliced Strawberries, Pomegranate and some passionfruit. Finally some Sliced Toasted Almond to make up for the crunch.

Mango Passionfruit Smoothie Bowl
Ingredients
3/4 Cup Mango Puree
1 Passionfruit
1 Cup of Glenilen Mango Passionfruit Yogurt **
4 Tbslpn Oatmeal
1 Tblspn of Maple Syrup
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract

Toppings
Passionfruit
sliced strawberries
pomegranate
sliced toasted almonds

Directions
Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blitz until smooth. Pour into 2 bowls and top with Sliced Strawberries, pomegrante, passionfruit and sliced toasted almonds.

Notes
** You may alternatively use Plain or Vanilla Greek Yogurt.

Well, did you have your brows raised hearing about the yumm Mango Passionfruit Yogurt? We were lucky to sample a range of yogurt from Glenilen Farm and can say they are some of the awesome stuff available in the market.

Glenilen Farm Yogurts are simply delicious, specially if you like flavored yogurts. The 160ml  & 500 ml live yoghurts have the fruit layered at the bottom and the yoghurt on top.  Mango & Passionfruit Live Yogurt were sweet enough to be had on its own but I felt the need for a little more sweetner with Raspberry & Blueberry Live Yogurt. Curiously I checked the label and found the sugar to be only 7%. No wonder!!  My little missy loves flavored yogurt and it was thumbs up from her for Mango Passionfruit combination.
Resuable 160g Individual glass pots  are available as  strawberry, raspberry, plum, rhubarb, mango & passion fruit and natural. However, the mango passionfruit and raspberry pots  sent to us were great to carry for picnics. I would love to have a scoop of all the flavors someday.
500g Large pots  come as strawberry, raspberry, summer berries, apple & blackberry, natural and they work well for smoothies and sharing over a meal.Glenilen Farm Yogurt is now available to buy at Sainsbury’s in UK.
