I am pretty sure, many of you must be familiar with Taste of London festival.
Taste of London Festive Edition, the little sister of the Taste festival held in Summer, is the perfect way to kick start Christmas in style. Located in Tobacco Dock ( East London ) , it is converted into nothing short of Foodies Paradise filled with AEG Master Classes, Taste Theatre, sample signature dishes from London’s latest, greatest and most exciting restaurants, festive tipples and shopping for the festive season ahead!
Despite being a food blogger, Surprisingly this is my first visit to the Taste of London festival(sponsored by AEG)
For some reason or the other, my plans to visit Taste has been foiled every year but I’m so pleased to be have made it this year.
Not just freak out with the amazing classes, I was also absolutely lucky to have the opportunity to work alongside a world-renowned chef Mr Cyrus Todiwala at the Taste theatre.
The whole experience was absolutely amazing – cooking in front of an audience and preparing alongside with Chef Cyrus. He was absolutely hilarious and lively!! Infact he made me loosen up and feel myself at the Taste Theatre. There were so many tips that I learnt from the chef in that short duration. At any point of time I never felt that this was the first time I’m actually meeting chef Cyrus.. We cooked up Crab curry and potato Bonda’s and it was a fabulous experience.
Whilst preparing this awesomelicious savoury dish I also a chance to get my hands on the appliances in the AEG Mastery range.
they are fabulous, super easy to use and works with the touch of a button.
The induction hobs have sensitive touch control that reacts quickly and accurately, ensuring precise heat selection. Some of the cool features include Power Boost, Stop +Go Function, Flexibility cooking zone,Child safety lock, adjustable timer and heat indicator.
Cleaning the induction hob can be done with ease using the easy go microfibre.
The AEG stand mixer, stick mixer and the fabulous induction hob -loved to them all in a brief hands-on session.
Well, that moment was absolutely special being my debut attempt cooking life for an audience.
Some of the other exciting things about Taste of London is how interactive & engaging it is. AEG also hosted a series of Baking events with Richard Burr and Kathy Slack. Though I couldn’t attend one of their classes, I was absolutely lucky to spend some brief glorious moments with the fabulous duo.
I also got a chance to meet Anjum Anand, the curator of the Spice Tailor range and cookbook Author. How fabulous it is .. Isn’t it!!
