This Nutella Bircher Muesli Yogurt Parfait in my opinion is just as good as magic!! Healthy, balanced and yummy! Just too delicious and works perfectly for breakfast.
It’s that time of the year again when everyone is getting into festive spirits and the weather has gone brrr… cold so it’s time to wear wooly hats, boots, and gloves. It’s that time of the year to spruce up your home with decorations for this festive season. Everyone’s is in high spirits preparing for Christmas – from getting the house prepared, welcoming friends and family, buying presents, to deciding on the perfect Christmas Meal.
As per every year, we are also looking forward to thetime when the family comes over and we are able to spend quality time together for 2 days. Either our cousins will visit us or we will visit them, but either way, we always carry forward the tradition of having a perfect time together. We are quite lucky that our children are of the same age. Over those two days, the adults get our “me time”, having fun on the karaoke box or jamming sessions.
We have been creating these memorable festive times for the last 9 years and it all started with buying matching jumpers for our first kids.
This year, we are hoping to spend our Christmas with the whole family. Bil, Sil, kids, and the in-laws!! One mega family meet. There will be lots of cheer and laughter at the dining table over breakfast and I want this Nutella Bircher Muesli Yogurt Parfait to be the perfect crowd pleaser!
Preparing ahead for the festive season, it was wonderful to create this Nutella Bircher Muesli Yogurt Parfait in collaboration with Nutella. This balanced recipe incorporates oats, nuts, greek yogurt, Nutella and berries. Nutella tastes so good, because it is well made. Its secret recipe uses quality ingredients so that a 15g portion (one heaped teaspoon) is a uniquely delicious experience.
I thoroughly enjoy making granola at home, as what goes into the granola is frill-free, without much or no artificial sweetener and preservatives. Whilst making Bircher Muesli, I picked some seasonal ingredients like unsweetened cranberries too. On another thought, these Bircher Muesli Jars make excellent edible gifts too. What are your thoughts?
And since we are all chatting about Christmas here, I am really curious to know what are your plans this year? Do you plan anything exquisite for your breakfast?
One highlight from my end was to create a tasty breakfast and these Nutella Bircher Muesli Yogurt Parfaits are all about light, crunchy, berry and Nutella perfection. And yes!!! One portion of Nutella is a 15g heaped teaspoon and 80kcals.
The recipe doesn’t require any chilling or overnight soaking. That makes it really easy and simple to put together. You can start by scooping the muesli, yogurt with a spoon or get creative by piping them in. Well that’s the fun bit of parfait!
If you’re unfamiliar with yogurt parfait, let me tell you a parfait is all that you need. It’s all about building alternate layers of granola, greek yogurt and berries in a mason jar. There is no fixed recipe as what to layer first and what goes afterwards. You can get really creative and have lots of fun too by building the stack, add your favorite ingredients or superfoods like chia seeds, cacao nibs (but this will involve a bit of soaking ).
To create this fun parfait, I have used a layer of Bircher Muesli as the base. It works really well for the crunchy texture. I have topped it with a layer of Greek yogurt and some fresh berries – blueberries and raspberries. The natural berry sweetness gives a delightful flavor to the Greek yogurt. Alternate again with granola and Greek yogurt. Top it with 15g portion (one heaped teaspoon) of Nutella, lots of berries and lots of love to finish off.
This Nutella Bircher Muesli Parfait is nothing short of magic!! Gorgeous, delightful and just yummy!
We are huge Nutella fans at home and believe in enjoying the right portion of cheer (one heaped teaspoon) – whether we spread it on toast, top it on fruit, or even stirred into porridge- Nutella is a spoonful of happy to start your day.
Let’s raise a toast to this perfect Nutella Bircher Muesli Parfait which works well at breakfast!
