Boooom !!!!! We had a double birthday bang along with a valentine party that I have been planning for Soo long  on Sunday , the 14th of Feb.!.. A sooper dooper hit…
I would love to thank all my blog friends who helped me in finalising the menu for the party… Guess wot?? My H decided to print a Menu card for the party …so that every person who comes in , gets to know the ingredients and its authenticity 🙂

Bean & Veg salad..with Yogurt Dressing

Thank you gals for all the wonderful response for the birthday party menu…Do keep pinging me if you come across any other lovely game or a dish… There is still a week for the D- Date..
Today’s Salad is wholesome meal by itself… H and I have decided to have a bowl of Salad atleast 2wice a week.. before dinner.. so that it will reduce our intake of rice n chapathi’s .. Believe me.. It just works.. This week has been successful with 2 variety of salad… and they could be made in a jiffy 🙂

Preparation time : 15 min

INGREDIENTS :

Cooked Black eye beans from CanHandful
Green Pepper1/2 nos chopped finely
Lettuce2 Leaves chopped
Tomato2 nos small in size chopped finely
Cucumber1.5 inch chopped into small pieces
Carrot 1.5 inch chopped into small pieces

For the Salad dressing

Low fat stirred yogurt1 Cup
Lemon Juice 1 Tblspn
Mint leaveshandful chopped finely
Garlic Pod1 nos chopped finely
SaltTo Taste
Black Pepper1/2 Tsp

DIRECTIONS:

  • Mix all the vegetables and the bean in a bowl .
  • For the salad dressing , mix the yogurt , lemon juice ,garlic , mint leaves ,salt and pepper and stir it well.
  • Add it to the vegetables in the bowl and mix well. Put it in the fridge for 30 minutes and serve it cold .
  • I have used cold low fat yogurt.So served it at once after I prepared.

 Enjoy  your healthy meal as a snack or as wholesome.

Birthday Party Platter????

W ith 2 Birthday Celebrations round the corner( less than 2 weeks).. I am still yet to finalise the party menu for 16 adults and 6 kids……

How about Spring Rolls , Pasta Salad …. and may b Alu chat for starter ? Wot could be the best alternative?
Any Suggestions for Main Course?? How about a Rice Variety???
How about the games to keep the lil ones occupied? 

Just occured… will look at the cake events for the cake recipes…

Looking forward to hear about lovely recipes that I can make …
