Frequently Asked Questions
Can you really make brownies in the microwave?
Yes, it is possible to make brownies in the microwave! While the texture may not be exactly the same as traditional oven-baked brownies, microwave brownies can be a quick and easy alternative when you’re short on time or don’t have access to an oven.
How do you make microwave brownies moist?
There are a few ways to ensure that your microwave brownies turn out moist and tender:
- Use butter or oil in the recipe to help keep the brownies moist
- Use milk instead of water. Milk contains more fat and flavor than water, so brownies are more moist, gooey, and delicious
- Don’t overcook the brownies – be sure to keep an eye on them and stop cooking when they are just set in the middle
- Allow the brownies to cool and set for a few minutes before serving – this will help to keep them from drying out
Do I need to change any settings to make eggless brownies in the microwave?
To make eggless brownies in the microwave, you don’t need to change any special settings. Simply follow the recipe instructions and microwave the brownies for the specified amount of time. If you are using a microwave with a different wattage, you may need to adjust the cooking time slightly. Keep an eye on the brownies as they cook and check on them periodically to ensure they are cooking evenly.
For instance, a lower wattage microwave will need a longer cooking time. And a higher-wattage microwave will need a shorter cooking time than the guided time.

It was so interesting to read about Mr.B and Mrs. A and your Amsterdam trip Sandhya. Inspiring too. Mug cakes always satisfy the ‘sweet cravings’ is’nt it. Absolutely handy recipe. Beautiful clicks .

Thank you Uma… It was really inspiring for us too, that we are a bit stingy on our carb now and eating wisely.

Sandhya, you know me and how truthfully I speak and you might not like my candid tone here.
1. Everyone is different. What worked for your friends might not work for you. One of my friend only takes 20 grams of sugar a day (dietary) which means she cuts down her carb , fruits intake. I tried that and it did not do anything for me. Low carb diet is amazing but you should really consume your ideal carb (based on your body). You can consult a dietician. What I did, I bought a fitbit and I am trying to take 10,000 steps a day. I am also trying to eat moderately. It works for me, but might not work for you. So my first friendly suggestion would be to consult with a physician.
2. I am not a big fan of any baked goodies made in microwave. 🙂 Again, that’s just me. I am a purist when it comes to baking goodies as I eat them once a month or less. However your pictures look amazing and I am sure all of you enjoyed it to the fullest. Hope to see some more amazing low carb recipes from you 🙂
Take care
