Why I Love Making Roasted Broccoli in Air Fryer?
They cook faster than in the oven, which is a lifesaver on busy nights. A squeeze of lime at the end brightens everything up.
For a variation, I love making smashed roasted broccoli in the air fryer too—it’s crispy, tender, and full of flavor. What I love most is how fast it comes together and how flexible it is.
I love enjoying roasted broccoli on its own as a snack, toss it into grain bowls, or serve it alongside tarka dal or tomato gnocchi bake—the flavor holds up, and it never feels boring.

- Broccoli: Fresh florets, washed and cut into bite-sized pieces. You can also use the peeled stalk for extra texture.
- Olive oil: Just enough to lightly coat the broccoli for roasting or air-frying.
- Lime or lemon: Adds a fresh, tangy flavor at the end.
- Seasoning: Salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika for a smoky, savory taste.
- Toppings: Chili flakes for a mild heat (optional but recommended).
How to Cut Broccoli?
Use a knife to remove the leaves and separate the florets from the stalk. Hold the thick stalk with your non-dominant hand and cut off the florets. Discard the tough woody part of the stalk, and slice larger florets into smaller pieces for even cooking.

How to Make Crispy Roasted Broccoli in Airfryer?

Step 1. Prep and season: Toss broccoli florets in olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.

Step 2.Air fry and serve: Place in the air fryer basket and cook at 375°F (190°C) for 8 minutes, shaking halfway. Sprinkle with chili flakes for a spicy kick (optional) and serve immediately.
For making Garlic Parmesan - toss the broccoli in minced garlic, parmesan cheese, salt & pepper. Repeat the rest of the steps as above.

Storing
If there are any leftovers, store in air tight container in the firdge for up to 3 days. To reheat, add it back to air fryer basket and air fry for 2-3 minutes until crispy again.

Are vegetables cooked in an air fryer healthy?
- Airfryer cooks in less time, use less oil, and are so easy to clean up.
- Air frying Vegetables are healthier than deep frying because you will need less or no oil. It cooks faster than Oven but it is quite similar in healthiness to conventional ovens.
- Air fryers use fewer oils as they work by circulating hot air inside the appliance utilizing less oil.
- It makes for some yummy and quick side dishes like this roasted Asparagus, Hasselback Potatoes, Roasted Green Beans, and Corn on the Cob, when you’re in a pinch during the busy week.
Recipe FAQs
Yes, you can! Keep in mind that frozen broccoli tends to release more water, so it won’t get quite as crispy as fresh florets.
I don’t recommend it. Once cooked, broccoli loses its fresh texture in the freezer and can turn mushy when reheated. It’s best enjoyed fresh from the air fryer.
Air fryer broccoli usually takes about 5–10 minutes at 180°C–200°C (350–390°F). The exact time depends on your air fryer model, the size of the florets, and how crispy you like them.

How to make Air fryer Roasted Broccoli?

Ingredients
- 3-4 cups Broccoli
- 1 teaspoon Olive Oil
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder or Minced Garlic
- Salt to taste
- ½ teaspoon Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
- Juice of ½ Lime
To Serve
- ½ teaspoon Chilli Flakes Optional
- Salt & Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Toss the Broccoli florets in oil and seasoning.
- Select the AIRFRY program. Adjust the +/- keys to adjust the Time and Temperature to 375F /190 C and 8 minutes. Press Start. When the display indicates “Add Food” carefully place the broccoli into the basket.
- At halftime, shake the basket. Remove the crispy roasted broccoli from the air fryer after the air frying cycle ends. Serve Immediately.
- If you like sprinkle with chilli flakes and season more with salt & pepper if necessary.

GARLIC PARMESAN ROASTED BROCCOLI
To make Garlic Parmesan roasted Broccoli, toss the broccoli in oil, garlic, and 2 tablespoons of parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Air fry for 8 minutes. Serve immediately.Nutrition
