ABOUT THIS RECIPE – APPLE CARROT BEET JUICE
I love making fresh juices with seasonal vegetables and fruits and this combo works like a successful marriage. Recently when our friends visited us, we had tons of chit chat and over the conversation, she was mentioning about this fabulous combo and Orange Carrot Ginger Juice.
I just could not wait to try it and since then I have been making it a couple of times a week.
I have to admit – We are addicted to this easy Beet Juice and we are so happy that we are. My kids call this drink as Healthy Halloween Juice!
This immune booster juice is slightly sweet with the perfect balance in flavors. Adding one Green apple cuts down the sweets with its tartness.
Squeeze of fresh lemon juice – adds the perfect zing and enhances the flavors.
Occasionally I like to add ginger for spicy & warm flavors – but that’s just optional.
HOW TO MAKE THIS IMMUNE BOOSTING BEET CARROT APPLE JUICE?
Now what if I tell you, this juice is as easy as making a smoothie?
There are two ways to make this Juice – either in a slow juicer or a powerful hi speed blender.
SLOW JUICER – To make this juice in a slow juicer, push the sliced apple, beet, carrots through the feeding tube. Juice comes out of the vent and the pulp gets collected through the extractor end.
HI SPEED BLENDER – Place all ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth. Add water or apple juice as necessary to get it blended. Place the fine sieve or a nut milk bag on a pyrex bowl. Pass the the juice through it, pressing down with a spatula to squeeze all the juice out and collect the pulp in the sieve.
You may need to do them in batches to save you from mess.
Do no discard the Pulp out! Save them in a container to make flatbread or falafels. They are delicious.
SLOW JUICER VS HI SPEED JUICER – Which one is better?
I own a Slow Juicer and a Hi Speed Blender and let me tell you – they are both fantastic kitchen gadgets.
You need to have a considerable space to store the gadgets – so if you want to multi task with only one gadget, go for hi speed blender.
I like juicing in a slow juicer, because you really don’t have to filter the juice by passing through the sieve or nut milk bag. The pulp is discarded on one end, while the juice comes out from another spout conveniently fitted with a cap. I love my Panasonic MJ 500 and have been using them for the last 4 years. - 1 medium Beetroot peeled, sliced
- 3 medium Carrots peeled
- 2 Apples sliced
- 1/2 Lemon Juice
- 1/4 Cup Apple Juice or Water if you are using a blender
Hi Speed Blender Method
- Add all ingredients to a hi speed blender and blend until smooth. Add 1/4 cup apple juice or water if necessary to allow the blender to juice.
- Place a fine mesh sieve or a nut milk bag over a large bowl. Pour the juice onto the sieve and press the pulp down with a silicone spatula to squeeze the juice. Pulp will be collected in the sieve. Serve in glass and enjoy this tasty beetroot, carrot and apple juice.
Slow Juicer Method
- Add the beetroot, carrots, apples to the feeder tube of the slow juicer.
- The Juice is collected from the tube where as the pulp is extracted from a separate tube.
- Squeeze fresh lemon juice and stir. Serve and Enjoy this immune boosting beetroot, carrot and apple juice.
