This easy recipe for Boom Boom Sauce comes together in 5 minutes and pairs perfectly with air fryer chunky chips, air fried hash browns, or Popcorn Cauliflower.
It’s smooth, creamy, slightly sweet and spicy mayonnaise based dip— I give it a quick chill in the fridge before serving.

If you’ve got 5 minutes, a bowl, and a spoon, you can make this finger-licking copycat Sheetz Boom Boom Sauce recipe at home in no time! I make it ahead and store it in the fridge along with my other favorite dipping sauces like sour cream and chives dip, Indian mint sauce and vegan burger sauce.

Boom-Boom Sauce is a type of fry sauce that tastes good literally on everything . It is a spicy mayonnaise-based sauce thats creamy, sweet, spicy and finger licking good. Its easy to make vegan boom boom sauce recipe using vegan mayonnaise.

Boom Boom Sauce ingredients
  • Mayonnaise – The creamy base of this sauce and sour cream chives dip recipe. You can use regular, low-fat, or vegan mayo. For a vegan version, I recommend Hellmann’s Plant-Based Mayo—widely available in most UK supermarkets like Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, and Tesco.
  • Sweet Chili Sauce – Adds a sweet, tangy flavor with a mild kick.
  • Tomato Ketchup (or Tomato Sauce) – Brings sweetness and a touch of acidity.
  • Sriracha Sauce – Gives the sauce its spicy edge. You can substitute with any hot sauce you prefer. I also use it make sriracha mayonnaise recipe.
  • Onion Powder & Garlic Powder – Essential for that savory, garlicky flavor. Use the powdered form only—fresh garlic can leave a harsh aftertaste.
  • Salt & Pepper – A generous pinch of each rounds out the flavor.

How to make Boom Boom Sauce Recipe? Step by Step

Step 1. Add everything. To a bowl, add mayo, sriracha, sweet chili sauce, tomato ketchup, garlic powder, salt and pepper.

This sauce is so versatile! I love pairing it with air fryer halloumi fries, hashbrowns, spring rolls, chunky chips, smashed potatoes, or even burgers.
It’s also amazing as a salad dressing or drizzle inside pita bread with salad veggies and your air fryer falafels —basically, anything that could use a little kick!

Store any left over sauce in airtight container / mason jar in the fridge for up to a week.

Try this no cook 5 minute Boom Boom Sauce Recipe. It's delicious with potato fries, burgers, hash browns, grilled meat or even Cauliflower Wings too. All you need is a bowl and a whisk!

Ingredients

  • ½ cup mayonnaise (Vegan Mayo works great too)
  • 1  tablespoon sweet chili sauce
  • 1  Tbsp  ketchup
  • 1  teaspoon sriracha
  • 1  teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Generous Pinch salt and black pepper

Instructions

  • Gather Ingredients -In a small bowl, add all the ingredients together.
  • Combine & Mix -Mix well using a fork or use a whisk.
  • Serve - Transfer the prepared boom boom sauce in a bowl and serve it with your hashbrowns, fries or even grilled meat.
  • Store -Transfer any leftover sauce into a mason jar and store in the refrigerator. It stores well for up to a week.

    Never made Boom Boom sauce before and it was awesome! I can see how you can serve it with just about anything. I made it to serve with air fryer potato wedges and the sauce was a huge hit!
