Top Tips
- For a thicker oreo milkshake recipe, use more ice cream and less milk. For 2 cups of ice cream, I would add about ½ - ⅔ cup of milk.
- Prefer it thinner? Go for 2 cups ice cream and ¾- 1 cup milk.
- Use store-bought vanilla ice cream (or cookies and cream) for instant milkshakes in Ninja Creami.
- Don’t overfill the tub over the max fill line. Leave a little space at the top.
- I like to enjoy it straight away, but you can also pop it back in the freezer for a couple of hours to serve later.
Serving
I love serving Ninja Creami Cookies and Cream Milkshake with a generous swirl of vanilla whipped cream and a sprinkle of crushed Oreo cookies on top. For that picture-perfect finish, I always add a whole Oreo as a little treat!
If you’ve got some chocolate syrup handy, drizzle a bit inside the cup before pouring the milkshake—it makes it feel extra special. (Optiona|)

Storing Leftovers
I leave the leftover Ninja Creami Oreo Milkshake in the Ninja Creami Pint tub and freeze. They keep well up to 2 weeks. When ready to enjoy, I let it soften slightly and run the re-spin function on Ninja Creami for that creamy texture again.
Alternatively I leave frozen cookies n cream milkshake on the counter for about 30 minutes and transfer to the cup and serve.
Recipe FAQ's
It’s super easy! I use oat milk, a good-quality dairy-free vanilla ice cream, and Oreos (which are naturally dairy-free). Just pop everything into the Ninja Creami and blend as usual—the result is just as creamy and delicious.
Absolutely! If you don’t have a Ninja Creami, just use a regular blender. Add vanilla ice cream, milk, and Oreo cookies, then blend until smooth. You’ll still get a rich, creamy homemade Oreo milkshake in minutes.
Mix 1 cup milk and 2 scoops vanilla protein powder in the Ninja Creami pint, freeze for 12–24 hours, then run on “Lite Ice Cream” mode. Add ½ cup milk and run “Milkshake” mode twice, adjusting with more milk if needed. Mix in crushed Oreos using the “Mix-in” setting and serve.
