My daughter absolutely loves Oreo vanilla milkshake—it’s the one thing she always orders at Burger King. So I thought, why not try making a quick version at home with the Ninja Creami? And guess what—it is such a hit and on repeat like our 1- Ingredient Mango Sorbet and Ninja Creami Strawberry Ice cream!  Even my son is now team cookies and cream milkshake!

With just homemade Ninja Creami vanilla ice cream, a splash of milk, and a few Oreo cookies, you can make this creamy delicious milkshakes in less than 5 minutes. No need to wait 24 hours for an ice cream base—the Ninja Creami blends it all into a smooth, rich milkshake you can tweak to be as thick or sippable as you like.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

  • You will need only 3 ingredients and 2 minutes
  • No blender needed—just your Ninja Creami
  • A quick cookies and cream dessert that’s thick and indulgent
  • Easy to Customise to a dairy-free Ninja Creami milkshake
  • Tastes just like a homemade Oreo milkshake from your favorite diner
  • You can even use leftover Ninja Creami cookies and cream ice cream or try the Ninja Creami Oreo protein ice cream for a protein-packed twist

Ingredients

Full recipe with measurements is in the printable card below.

  • Vanilla ice cream – I like using my homemade Ninja Creami vanilla ice cream, but store-bought works just as well.
  • Whole milk – To thin the milkshake slightly.
  • Oreo cookies – Or any chocolate sandwich cookies you like. I use 6–7 to blend plus more for toppings.

Substitution / Variation Ideas

  • Swap vanilla ice cream for cookies and cream ice cream for extra Oreo flavor.
  • Use low-fat or non-dairy milk to lighten it up.
  • Want more protein? Use protein ice cream as your base or add vanilla protein powder
  • Oreos are naturally dairy-free, so pair them with dairy-free Ninja Creami ice cream and non-dairy milk for a vegan-friendly option.

How to Make Cookies and Cream Milkshake in Ninja Creami?

Step 1 - Add Ninja Creami vanilla ice cream to a Ninja Creami pint container and create a wide hole in the centre. Then add milk and oreo cookies broken into pieces.

Step 2 - Place the pint in the outer bowl, secure it, and lock into the machine. Press the Milkshake button on your Ninja Creami. Its takes just 2 minutes to process.

Step 4 - Serve thick oreo milkshake in tall glasses with a swirl of whipped cream and oreo cookies.

Top Tips

  • For a thicker oreo milkshake recipe, use more ice cream and less milk. For 2 cups of ice cream, I would add about ½ - ⅔ cup of milk.
  • Prefer it thinner? Go for 2 cups ice cream and ¾- 1 cup milk.
  • Use store-bought vanilla ice cream (or cookies and cream) for instant milkshakes in Ninja Creami.
  • Don’t overfill the tub over the max fill line. Leave a little space at the top.
  • I like to enjoy it straight away, but you can also pop it back in the freezer for a couple of hours to serve later.

Serving

I love serving Ninja Creami Cookies and Cream Milkshake with a generous swirl of vanilla whipped cream and a sprinkle of crushed Oreo cookies on top. For that picture-perfect finish, I always add a whole Oreo as a little treat!

If you’ve got some chocolate syrup handy, drizzle a bit inside the cup before pouring the milkshake—it makes it feel extra special. (Optiona|)

Storing Leftovers

I leave the leftover Ninja Creami Oreo Milkshake in the Ninja Creami Pint tub and freeze. They keep well up to 2 weeks. When ready to enjoy, I let it soften slightly and run the re-spin function on Ninja Creami for that creamy texture again.

Alternatively I leave frozen cookies n cream milkshake on the counter for about 30 minutes and transfer to the cup and serve.

Recipe FAQ's

How do I make a dairy-free cookies and cream milkshake?

It’s super easy! I use oat milk, a good-quality dairy-free vanilla ice cream, and Oreos (which are naturally dairy-free). Just pop everything into the Ninja Creami and blend as usual—the result is just as creamy and delicious.

Can I make an Oreo milkshake without a Ninja Creami?

Absolutely! If you don’t have a Ninja Creami, just use a regular blender. Add vanilla ice cream, milk, and Oreo cookies, then blend until smooth. You’ll still get a rich, creamy homemade Oreo milkshake in minutes.

How to make Ninja Creami Oreo Milkshake without Ice Cream?

Mix 1 cup milk and 2 scoops vanilla protein powder in the Ninja Creami pint, freeze for 12–24 hours, then run on “Lite Ice Cream” mode. Add ½ cup milk and run “Milkshake” mode twice, adjusting with more milk if needed. Mix in crushed Oreos using the “Mix-in” setting and serve.
