Homemade Mocha Frappuccino is nearly the replica of the trademark drink Frappuccino, available at the popular cafe chain – Starbucks. You could save a few pounds and time by making them at home, instead of visiting the Coffee shop, every visit to the HighStreet.
Earlier this week, I made my first batch of Coffee Concentrate yielding at least 12 servings using the Cold Brew method.Since its stocked in my refrigerator, the youth in me comes up with quirky ideas, irrespective of the season. But did I mention, I whizzed them all up with Lactofree Milk, still no difference in flavor. You read it right!
Christmas fever kicked off at the end of November when a handful of us were invited to an exclusive Christmas tea with Lactofree. This event was exclusively organised at BakeaBoo Cafe in London, where they specialise in flavoured tea’s and cakes. The cafe was festively decorated with festoon, baubles and a lot of christmassy decorations..
The celebration menu included – Courgette ‘sushi style’ rolls filled with herb infused Lactofree soft cheese and miniature crudités of carrot and red peppers, Pitta bread Christmas trees with creamy avocado dip made with Lactofree cream topped with red peppers and sandwiches. Dessert menu had an elaborate spread from Mince Pies, freshly baked Scones with Lactofree cream and jam, chocolate truffles and the Festive frozen yogurt bark with the new lactofree Yougurt.
We were royally treated with the delectable treats, that sadly I had no appetite to dig into the Mini Trifles!!
Having no intolerances or allergies with food so far, I have enjoyed Lactofree infused meals just like our regular ones and I see no difference between the two at all. My infant who is three has quite a strong pallete. She is someone, who doesn’t accept change of brands for her Cheese..But with Lactofree Cheese, she relished her macaroni cheese just like we normally do. Check out my post on Refried Beans, Peppers and Cheese toastie with Lactofree… You are going to love it.
With the goodies that came back home with me after the event, I decided to create a reviving portion that will get you high on. Using the coffee concentrate prepared from my OXO Cold Brew Coffee Maker, this potation is to die for.
Ingredients
- 1/4 Cup Coffee Concentrate
- 1 Cup Lactofree Semi skimmed Milk ** You could use regular milk too.
- 1 Tbsp Sugar
- 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 Tbsp Hershey's Chocolate Syrup
- Whipped Cream as needed
Instructions
- To Make your own Homemade Mocha Frappuccino - Add coffee, milk, vanilla extract, sugar and loads of ice and chocolate syrup to a blender. Blend until well combined and ice gets chunky.. Serve it in a fancy glass, topped with whipped cream and drizzle chocolate syrup.
