Growing up in India, my mum would could cook literally every single thing in the pressure cooker. She would buy the Fresh Corn Ear with Husk on from the market and either steam it in pressure cooker or grill it on stove top. Either-ways, we loved it with lots of topping choices.

Cooking Fresh Corn on the Cob in Pressure Cooker was kind of a norm at home. Our stove top pressure cookers requires a bit of baby sitting and watching the time with the number of whistles on.  Fast forward to the era of Electric Pressure Cookers like Instant Pot, Pressure King Pro etc,  it has become much more easier and quicker. There is no looking back!

TIPS FOR CORN ON THE COB

Snap the ears of corn into halves if they are too big. By this way, we can easily accommodate more ear of corn for cooking.

Smaller corn ears are easier for kids to handle, so feel free to cut them in halves or quarters while serving.

Hi Ashley, It works at 2 minutes for me in 6 qt for 4 corns. May be try 4 minutes for 6 corns. If you are not running short of time, let the pressure release naturally instead of QPR.

It typically works between 1 – 4 minutes depending upon the size of the Instant Pot. For a 8Qt one, it takes longer.
