How to make Instant Pot Pad Thai Noodles? Use Pad Thai for this recipe instead of linguine or spaghetti.
What is the cooking time for my noodles in Instant Pot? Always check the packet instructions for cooking times. If the time mentioned is 10- 11 minutes on the packet, use the lowest time mentioned and half it. In this case, our lowest cooking time mentioned is 10 minutes and I have halved the time for pressure cooking the noodles which is about 5 minutes.
What is the water to noodles ratio to cook the noodles? This ratio is extremely vital to keep in mind while cooking Noodles in Instant Pot. You just need to add water that is enough to cover the noodles. For 8 Oz Noodles, you will need about 1.5 Cup & for 9 Oz ( approximately 250g ) Linguine, you will need 1.75 Cup of water.
Can I make Gluten Free Noodles? Yeah, fresh rice noodles, often found refrigerated in Asian markets, can be gluten free.
INSTANT POT THAI PEANUT NOODLES INGREDIENTS
This One pot Noodles recipe requires some of the delicious ingredients, readily available in the pantry. You will need
Sesame Oil
Noodles – I prefer to use Linguine or Spaghetti instead of Pad Thai. These noodles work really well to stir up a quick thai peanut noodles in Instant Pot. I like the noodles to an al dente consistency.
Onions – Stalk of Green Onions work really well. But I also love to use white onions or shallots that are diced really fine.
Vegetables – Red Pepper & Carrots add great colour splash to the noodles. Feel free to add rainbow vegetables of your choice like broccoli, asparagus, snow peas etc and even some bean sprouts too.
Ginger & Garlic – elevate flavours in the noodles and they are an absolute must in this recipe.
Thai Peanut Sauce is the heart of these instant pot asian noodles. This sauce consists of peanut butter, sriracha sauce or any other hot sauce, sweetener like brown sugar, soy sauce and ginger powder. Combination of such simple ingredients makes the most wonderful sauce. This Thai peanut sauce recipe can be used as dipping sauce, salad dressing or even for our Thai peanut noodles in Instant Pot.
Garnishes like Green Onion, Peanuts, Lime Juice are too good to be missed. They add all the extra crunch and flavor to the noodles apart from thai sauce.

Can I used rice noodles? And if so would I still cook at 5 minutes?
Sandhya's Kitchen says
If you are using rice noodles, you really don’t need to pressure cook or add them after cooking the rest of the ingredients. Rice noodles can get mushy due to over cooking.
Amber P says
If I want to add chicken to this recipe do I cook it in the IP before adding everything else? Ideas on temp and time?
Sandhya's Kitchen says
Hi Amber,
I had a little google for you. You can cook the chicken for 2-3 minutes after adding oil. Cook the rest of the recipe as normal.
Depending on the type of pasta noodles you are using, work on your cook time.
Tatiana says
