Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- Just 3 ingredients
- No eggs, no churner, and no fuss
- A healthier frozen treat—high in protein and easy to customise
- Kid-approved and perfect for toppings
- Naturally gluten-free
Ingredients
(Full measurements and instructions are in the recipe card below)
- Plain Greek Yogurt (10% fat) – For the best creamy texture, I use full-fat yogurt. It gives a rich, satisfying base that doesn’t freeze too icy.
- Maple Syrup – Adds natural sweetness and helps keep the yogurt soft after freezing.
- Vanilla Bean Paste – Has the best taste. Gives that traditional vanilla ice cream flavour and gorgeous vanilla specks. I use this paste for chocolate ice cream too.
- Whole Milk - Just a splash, to thin it out if needed (Optional)
Toppings We Love
- Mango Compote or Fresh strawberries – My personal favourite!
- Rainbow sprinkles – A hit with my kids. Sometimes we do both!
- Chocolate Chips, Cookies, Oreos
Substitutions & Variations
- Use honey, agave, stevia, golden syrup of sweetener of choice instead of maple syrup if you prefer.
- Swap vanilla bean paste with vanilla extract.
- Add fresh fruit (like strawberries, mango, raspberries) to the base before freezing for fruity versions.
How to Make Ninja Creami Frozen Yogurt with Greek Yogurt Recipe?

Step 1- Add plain greek yogurt, maple syrup, and vanilla paste to the Ninja Creami pint container.

Step 2 - Mix well with a spoon or whisk. If its too thick to handle, add a splash of milk and mix.

Step 3 - Place lid and freeze upright for 24 hours on a flat surface.

Step 4 - Insert the Ninja Creami frozen yogurt base tub into the outer bowl and spin using the Lite Ice Cream button or Frozen Yogurt setting. Its takes 4-5 minutes.

Step 5 - I found it a crumbly. So I did one re-spin to reach the right consistency. About 2 minutes.

Step 6 - Scoop the frozen yoghurt into bowls, add toppings, and enjoy immediately!
Serving Frozen Yogurt made in Ninja Creami
I like to enjoy frozen yogurt straight away with chopped strawberries or 3 Ingredient Fresh Mango Compote. My kids love with rainbow sprinkles.

Sandhya’s Top Tips
- I recommend 2 tablespoon of maple syrup per cup of plain greek yogurt for the right sweetness.
- Also 1 tablespoon of vanilla bean paste - just as much I use for Ninja Creami vanilla ice cream.
- Always freeze the Creami tub upright—this helps the blade spin evenly.
- Don’t overfill the tub over the max fill line. Leave a little space at the top.
- If it looks crumbly after one spin, re-spin once for that soft-serve texture. For a softer smooth texture, you can also add a splash of milk.
Prep Ahead and Make Later
Prep Ahead: Add all the ingredients, mix and store upright in the Ninja Creami Deluxe Tubs in the freezer for 24 hours plus.
Make Later: Just before serving, simply process in the Ninja Creami Deluxe and serve with desired toppings.

Storing Leftovers
Cover the pint tub and freeze for up to 5 days. If it’s too firm to scoop later, let it sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes or use the Re-spin setting.
Recipe FAQs
Check for signs of spoilage just like you would with regular yogurt. If the liquid (whey) looks cloudy, thick, or slimy, it’s best to discard it. A sour smell, unusual lumps, or a pink or orange tint on the surface are also signs it’s no longer safe to eat. And if you spot any mold, definitely throw it out.
You can use 1 tablespoon vanilla extract instead—it works just as well!
Absolutely! Just use the Mix-In setting after frozen yogurt setting to stir in chunks.
Yes, you can, but keep in mind that the texture may be slightly icier. Full-fat Greek yogurt provides the creamiest and smoothest result for Ninja Creami frozen yogurt.
