Love Fro Yos? Now you can make it at home with this 3-ingredient Ninja Creami frozen yogurt recipe. It’s going to be your new go-to favorite protein-rich dessert—creamy, tangy, and unbelievably easy to make.

You already know I love easy, fuss-free desserts like Ninja Creami 1-ingredient mango sorbet, Ninja Creami chocolate ice cream. and this frozen yogurt is no exception. It almost mimics vanilla ice cream made in Ninja creami in taste and texture.

I’ve tested a few different yogurt mixture combinations , and this version made with full-fat Greek yogurt hits the spot. It’s smooth, perfectly sweet, and has that lovely hint of vanilla. Thanks to my Ninja Creami Deluxe, frozen yogurt is now something I whip up in no time.

If you have been following my posts, you will know, I've been making so many delicious Ninja Creami recipes lately — don't miss my favorites like Ninja Creami Oreo Milkshake!

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

  • Just 3 ingredients
  • No eggs, no churner, and no fuss
  • A healthier frozen treat—high in protein and easy to customise
  • Kid-approved and perfect for toppings
  • Naturally gluten-free

Ingredients

(Full measurements and instructions are in the recipe card below)

  • Plain Greek Yogurt (10% fat) – For the best creamy texture, I use full-fat yogurt. It gives a rich, satisfying base that doesn’t freeze too icy.
  • Maple Syrup – Adds natural sweetness and helps keep the yogurt soft after freezing.
  • Vanilla Bean Paste – Has the best taste. Gives that traditional vanilla ice cream flavour and gorgeous vanilla specks. I use this paste for chocolate ice cream too.
  • Whole Milk - Just a splash, to thin it out if needed (Optional)

Toppings We Love

  • Mango Compote or Fresh strawberries – My personal favourite!
  • Rainbow sprinkles – A hit with my kids. Sometimes we do both!
  • Chocolate Chips, Cookies, Oreos

Substitutions & Variations

  • Use honey, agave, stevia, golden syrup of sweetener of choice instead of maple syrup if you prefer.
  • Swap vanilla bean paste with vanilla extract.
  • Add fresh fruit (like strawberries, mango, raspberries) to the base before freezing for fruity versions.

Serving Frozen Yogurt made in Ninja Creami

I like to enjoy frozen yogurt straight away with chopped strawberries or 3 Ingredient Fresh Mango Compote. My kids love with rainbow sprinkles.

Sandhya’s Top Tips

  • I recommend 2 tablespoon of maple syrup per cup of plain greek yogurt for the right sweetness.
  • Also 1 tablespoon of vanilla bean paste - just as much I use for Ninja Creami vanilla ice cream.
  • Always freeze the Creami tub upright—this helps the blade spin evenly.
  • Don’t overfill the tub over the max fill line. Leave a little space at the top.
  • If it looks crumbly after one spin, re-spin once for that soft-serve texture. For a softer smooth texture, you can also add a splash of milk.

Prep Ahead and Make Later

Prep Ahead: Add all the ingredients, mix and store upright in the Ninja Creami Deluxe Tubs in the freezer for 24 hours plus.

Make Later: Just before serving, simply process in the Ninja Creami Deluxe and serve with desired toppings.

Storing Leftovers

Cover the pint tub and freeze for up to 5 days. If it’s too firm to scoop later, let it sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes or use the Re-spin setting.

Recipe FAQs

How can you tell if frozen yogurt has gone bad?

Check for signs of spoilage just like you would with regular yogurt. If the liquid (whey) looks cloudy, thick, or slimy, it’s best to discard it. A sour smell, unusual lumps, or a pink or orange tint on the surface are also signs it’s no longer safe to eat. And if you spot any mold, definitely throw it out.

What if I don’t have vanilla bean paste?

You can use 1 tablespoon vanilla extract instead—it works just as well!

Can I add fruit to this frozen yogurt made in Ninja Creami?

Absolutely! Just use the Mix-In setting after frozen yogurt setting to stir in chunks.

Can I use low-fat yogurt instead of full-fat Greek yogurt to make frozen yogurt?

Yes, you can, but keep in mind that the texture may be slightly icier. Full-fat Greek yogurt provides the creamiest and smoothest result for Ninja Creami frozen yogurt.

Learn how to make creamy, dreamy frozen yogurt in the Ninja Creami using just three simple ingredients! This easy recipe makes one pint of smooth, tangy frozen yogurt—perfect for a healthy treat any day of the week.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups plain Greek yogurt 500 ml – I use 10% fat for best texture
  • 3 -4 tablespoon maple syrup adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla bean paste
  • 2-4 tablespoon whole milk optional, for texture

Instructions

  • Mix the base: In a bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, maple syrup, and vanilla bean paste until smooth.
If the mixture feels too thick, add a splash of milk to loosen slightly. (optional)
  • Freeze: Pour the mixture into the Ninja Creami Deluxe tub, making sure not to go past the Max Fill line. Cover with the lid and freeze upright on a flat surface for 24 hours.
  • Spin: Once fully frozen, insert the tub into the outer bowl, lock the lid, and spin using the Frozen Yogurt or Lite Ice cream setting.About 4-5 minutes.
Respin: My fro yo comes out crumbly, so I did a respin. About 2 minutes.
  • Serve: Enjoy straight away with your favorite toppings like mango compote, chopped strawberries or rainbow sprinkles.

Notes

Toppings
Top with chopped strawberries (my go-to!) or let the kids add a sprinkle of colourful sprinkles—they love it.
Sandhya’s Top Tips
  • Freeze flat: Always freeze the tub upright and level for the best spin results.
  • Don’t overfill: Stick to the Max Fill line for mess-free blending.
  • Find the frozen yogurt to firm: Add a splash of milk while respinning for the right consistency.
  • Too firm? If the frozen yogurt feels hard after storing, just let it sit for 10 minutes or run a quick Re-spin.
Storing Leftovers
Store any leftover frozen yogurt in the Creami tub with the lid on. Freeze for up to 5 days. To soften, let it sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes or re-spin before serving.
