You will not believe how quick and easy it is to assemble this delicious appetizer. Bonus if you have leftover samosas.

Here is how to make this popular Indian Street Food - Samosa Chaat with a simple step-by-step method.

samosa chaat recipe

SAMOSA CHANA CHAAT RECIPE

Samosa Chole Chaat is one of my favorite ways to enjoy Samosas too. Although it is categorized as an appetizer, I can have them for lunch as well as dinner too. Use Air fried Samosa for your chaat and you can enjoy them guilt-free too.

Offcourse Yay!! I posted a prelude on Instagram and it was fab to see the response I received, about how much people around the world love Samosa Channa Chaat - popular Indian Chaat.

I am quite biased to Chaat any day. This is something I can indulge in a day in and day out. Aloo Tikki, Pav bhaji, Sev Puri, Ram Ladoo, Samosa's - I can go on and on with my list.

This VEG SAMOSA CHAAT is yet another delicious Indian chaat that comes together quickly if all the elements are ready.

WHAT IS CHAAT?

Chaat is a term used for Indian Street Food. It is typically a savory snack that is found on roadside stalls, and food carts across the Indian subcontinent.

The word "Chaat" in Hindi means चाट (tasting, a delicacy). Hence a Chaat recipe is spicy, sweet, tangy, and topped with chutneys and occasionally yogurt.

Chaat often involves a bit of preparation. Making the preparation in advance will make this street food really easy and save a lot of time. Assembly the chaat them together is the easiest thing to do and I love it.

Remember to serve the Chaat immediately as there are many components in the chaat with layers of wet and dry ingredients.

WHAT IS SAMOSA CHAAT?

SAMOSA CHAAT is a popular street food recipe where samosas are served with chickpeas curry, chaat hutneys, yogurt, and spice powders.

This SAMOSA CHAAT

is loaded with yumminess!!

has layers of samosa, chickpeas curry, chutney, yogurt, and spices.

is loaded with lots of textures, that you are going to love.

is a great party starter too.

LAYERS OF SAMOSA CHAAT

Samosa - Talking about preparations - since we are making easy Samosa Chaat, it is quite obvious we need Samosas.

You can use Store-bought Samosa, Frozen Samosa or even make it at home. I have a recipe for Air fryer Samosa's You can check out both of them and try them too if you have enough time.

Well, it's very rare that we will have any leftover samosas after a snack.. So I have ended up buying some for this Chaat which is perfectly acceptable!

To make Samosa at home, you will first need to prepare a samosa dough with all-purpose flour. Make a potato filling with mashed potatoes, spice powders like cumin powder, garam masala, chilli powder, salt, and finally finish with coriander leaves and lemon juice.

Once the dough is ready, pinch a portion of the dough, and roll it into a disc. Cut the disc in half.

Place a portion of the potato filling and fold it. Deep fry the samosa until golden brown. Drain it on a Kitchen Paper.

Chana Masala - Vegan Chole Curry - I tend to use this Quick Chana masala recipe also for this Chana Chaat or use the method for the Instant Chana masala recipe below.

Chaat Chutney's - You will need Coriander Chutney and Sweet Tamarind Chutney. These chutneys can be made in advance and stocked in the refrigerator.

Yogurt - Whisk the yogurt until it's beaten well. Stir it with salt and sugar if you like or use it plain.

Sev - is also known as Gram flour noodles. I like to use Nylon Sev as it is really thin and fine.

Spice Powders like Chilli Powder, and Chaat masala enhances the Chaat Recipes.
