ABOUT THIS SOYA MANCHURIAN RECIPE

Soya Manchurian is a delicious Indo-Chinese appetizer made with Soya Chunks tossed in sweet & sour sauce. They are popularly known as Soya Chunks Manchurian, Soy Manchurian, or even Meal Maker Manchurian.

My kids are a huge fan of Gobi Manchurian also known as Cauliflower Manchurian. But I had run out of Cauliflower at home one of the days and decided to make these lip-smacking Indo-Chinese appetizers with whatever was available!

I quickly tossed the Soya Chunks with the same marination and deep-fried it. They are 100 % approved by kids and family!

Don't have Soya, you can make our Air fryer Tofu Manchurian!

TIPS TO MAKE EASY SOYA MANCHURIAN RECIPE

If Soya Chunks/meal maker is large in size, cut them into halves. You can also buy small-sized soya too!

Soak the Soya Chunks in enough boiling water and set them aside for at least 15-20 minutes. This step is of utmost essential when you are handling Soya. All the raw smell that comes from soya is eliminated.

Marinating the Soya before frying infuses a lot of flavors in the dish

The use of Corn flour is necessary for adjusting the consistency of the Manchurian dish. Use Rice flour for Gluten Free option.

Serving Suggestions

Soya Manchurian tastes best with Hakka Noodles or Chowmein or Veg Fried Rice.  They are delicious as a stand-alone appetizer too.
