We are having the BEST of the British Summer now.
Long Bright Days and your energy is multiplied into manifolds. All we would love to do is to maximise the weather and spend a lot of time outdoors. Thinking about travelling to another part of the world ( including home town ) leaving this gorgeous weather back is actually like crime. Lots of Sunshine, lots of fresh air and lots of happiness happens when you have bright days:)
This weather is addictive and our garden has got a makeover now.. We have now painted the fences ourselves. Yes !! The kids and us - all did our share of painting making it look really pretty and uniform. I need to click a picture and share soon. We worked on the makeover after our much desired garden party 🙂
When we moved into the property in Autumn last year, our garden has empty patches in the lawn and totally un-groomed.. Trust me, it has been putting us off for a good long time. But as some one advised us, garden care is a slow and a steady process. We are able to see the transformation happen over the last 3 months..
Okies, but did I tell you before we actually painted the fence, we bought our new garden furnitures from IKEA and we absolutely loved it. A bit of assembling and now its our dream space. A cozy corner in our garden where we spend a few hours of our day having our main meals and tea too 🙂
What a perfect timing it was, when the good lovely folks of Lakeland offered to collaborate with their new Garden tableware collections. They are absolutely ideal for BBQ & Outdoor Parties and as a part of Garden Picnic dinnerware collection
One afternoon, we decided to have the perfect Garden party at home and oh what fun! My missy decided to be the Sou- Host for the afternoon, right from setting up the cushions to arranging the tableware. Wearing her perfect Summer Dress to getting everyone prepared for the mood:) She is my driving force to make it look all perfect, many times:)
On the table are the Melamine collection from Tivoli Range . I went for a mix and match right from the green tivoli to the cream stoneware like tivoli plates & bowls. There are Two Things I absolutely loved about this picnic ware range. Number One - They look like hand-thrown stoneware pottery – from its slightly dimpled surface, faux crazed glaze to its authentic-looking flecks and speckles. Second is that I could relax in peace and enjoy the meal without worrying if these plates and bowls will make it a piece back to the kitchen in ONE single piece. They are made from virtually unbreakable melamine with a thick scratch-resistant liquid glass coating.
Our menu for lunch was a refreshing Spinach Strawberry Salad with Honey Balsamic Vinaigrette, Pressure Cooked Tomato Basil Pasta, Strawberries and Berry Lemonade.
Oh!! And did you notice those classy Oil & Vinegar Set on the table. They are amazing not only as part of picnic ware but also look stylish on your kitchen counter.
The 2l Party proof Jug is ideal for garden parties and you can let children use it without worrying about it breaking. They are lightweight and made from unbreakable plastic, sure to stand the test of time 🙂 Amalfi & Tivoli Bubble Effect Tumblers are great for cool summer beverages – even water looks more refreshing when it’s in one of these bubbly ‘glasses’.
