Bowl of Indian Onion Tomato Salad

About this Indian Tomato Salad recipe

This easy peasy Tomato and Onion Salad are a refreshing, crunchy, and delicious Indian condiment. They are just like fresh tomato salsa ( pico de gallo ) that is served with Mexican meals. You can also say, it's like Kachumber salad minus the cucumber. Or call it an Indian version of Pico de Gallo...

The recipe uses tomato, red onion, seasoning, a citrus element, and finally some herbs. Simple faff-free ingredients to make this Easy no-cook salad. The only prep involved is to dice the onions, tomatoes, and herbs.

Finally, toss the ingredients together in a mixing bowl and serve!

If you like a little heat in your salad, add 1 or 2 green chilli or ½ a teaspoon of chilli powder.

The salad as such is chunky in nature and has very few natural liquids. Store in the refrigerator covered for up to 5 days. This tomato onion salad will keep fresh as long as the fresh-cut tomatoes will keep.

Salt - Season to taste

Citrus - Use either fresh lemon or lime juice.

Herbs - Coriander leaves or/and Mint leaves
