Preheat the oven to 150 C. Line 2 22cm sandwich cake tins with a parchment paper or just 1 cake tin.
Sift the flour, chocolate powder baking powder and baking soda in a mixing bowl.
In a large mixing bowl combine the wet ingredients - condensed milk, unsalted butter, vanilla extract and water.
Whisk the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients mixture until just combined.
Tip the mixture into the prepared cake tins and bake for 30 minutes or until a cake skewer inserted into the centre of the cake comes out clean.
If you are using 1 cake tin for this cake, bake for 45-50 minutes or until a cake skewer inserted into the centre of the cake comes out clean.
Allow it to cool in the tin and then carefully turn onto the wire rack and cool completely.Ice the cake when the Top has gone cold.
FOR CHOCOLATE GANACHE
Heat cream and sugar in a sauce pan or instant pot and bring them to boil. Turn of the flame immediately.
Add the cream to a bowl with broken chocolate pieces. Whisk steadily until you have a glossy chocolate ganache. If you like it sweeter, add a little more sugar to the ganache.
CAKE ASSEMBLING:
Place the first cake on the wire rack .Pour the ganache on the first layer and allow it spread. Place the second layer of the cake and pour the remaining ganache.
Allow the Ganache to set before you serve.
Add desired topping like chocolate curls, chocolate eggs and bunting before you serve.
