I have made these deliciously easy Oven Roasted Cashew nuts in Panasonic NN CS894s.
I am a part of the Panasonic Blogger Advocacy Programme, where I get to test the wonderful “ New In” Gadgets in my Kitchen.
You can almost cook anything in the new Panasonic Steam Combination Microwave NN CS894s. Steam,Grill,Bake, Microwave or combine the functionalities to cook your food easily and simply. It is larger than the size of a microwave , requiring a lending hand to keep it on the Counter top but does all the ginormous task of many gadgets.
Many times we switch between Hob to Microwave to Oven. But with a marvellous 4 in 1 beast like this, all the tasks can be performed in one.
A humungous 32L Microwave Oven as opposed to a standard 20L oven with no turn tables. The very first time I used the oven, I found it rather weird to have a microwave without turntable and was not sure if the functionalities would work as it should. But I guess we are all habituated to the regular thing and take a while to accustom to change.
Really easy Program Control Panel. If you read the manual carefully and follow the steps the first time , you would understand how easy is it to use it. The functionality buttons are Steam, Convention, Microwave, Grill, Timer, Auto Cook, Defrost, Auto Steam. Swipe and touch LCD display provides smart and easy operation. The slider caters to the time/ weight. Once you get hang of it, you really wouldn’t need a manual again.
Accessories catering to the type of cooking – Glass Tray, Wire Shelf, Enamel Shelf, Drip Tray and Steaming Trivet. Manual clearly elaborates on what accessory needs to be used with the type of cooking. For Eg: The enamel shelf & Wire Shelf must not be used for Microwave Cooking.
Inbuilt Sensor Technology makes Cooking Automatic. There is absolutely no need to set power levels, food weight or cooking time.
Convention Cooking Having a heating option from 40 C to 240C is really exciting for me. They preheat really quickly and beeps thrice when ready to place the food in. How Cool is that reminder 🙂
So far I have been able to bake cakes, muffins and roast some nuts too.
A super handy 2 level Convention Cooking like the regular oven. This facility enables to multi task ,which a normal microwave might not provide.
Steam Cooking Having Steam facility in your oven makes it extremely versatile to defrost, reheat, blanch food, melt chocolate and sterilise bottles too.
Food that has been steamed up retains more vitamin content than the food cooked traditionally cooked. Moreover the left over food can be rejuvenated quickly by steaming them and they taste like straight out of the hob.
Disclosure:
I was sent the Panasonic Steam Combinational Microwave NN CS894s for testing as a part of the Panasonic Advocacy Programme and have to send it back . All the opinions expressed here are of my own and under no influence.
