How to Prepare the Carrots for the Recipe?
Wash and scrub the carrots well before use. If you are using large carrots like I have, then peel and cut them in diagonals about ½ inch each. You can also cut them into discs or batons - however you like.
If you are using mini carrots, you don't need to cut them.
How to Air Fry Roasted Carrots?

Step 1. To a mixing bowl add carrots, oil, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder( if using).

Step 2. Toss together to combine.

Step 3. Transfer the carrots to the air fryer basket.

Step 4. Air fry at 180C for 10-13 minutes until they are slightly caramelized on the edges.
Garnish the air-fried carrots with fresh herbs like dill, parsley, green onion, or chives and enjoy crispy roasted carrots.
Variations
- Spicy roasted carrots - If you love spicy sweet potatoes like the Mexican sweet potato cubes, use the same spices in marinating the carrots and air fry them.
- Air fryer Honey-roasted carrots - Toss the carrots with honey, butter, salt, and pepper, and air fry at 180C for 15 -18 minutes until crispy and caramel-y.

Absolutely! You can freeze the air fryer carrots in a freezer-safe bag for up to 3 months. When you're ready to eat, thaw completely and air fry until crispy again.
Transfer the seasoned carrots to a lined baking tray and bake at 200C for 25-35 minutes.
It is really simple. Toss the carrots with 2 tablespoon of runny honey, butter, salt, butter and oil. Transfer to air fryer basket and air fry at 180C for 15-18 minutes until you have honey roasted air fryer carrots.

Easy air fryer roasted carrots recipe below

Ingredients
- 450 g carrots peeled and cut into diagonals
- 1 tablespoon Olive oil or Sunflower oil
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Garnish ( Optional)
- 2 teaspoon chives dill, green onion or parsley
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer at 200C / 400 F for 2 minutes.
- Toss the carrots with oil, salt, pepper and Italian seasoning.
- Transfer the carrot to the air fryer basket and cook for 10-13 minutes.
- At half time, shake the basket so that the carrots are rotated.
- After the air frying cycle is done, remove the carrots from the air fryer and transfer it to a serving dish.
- Garnish with parsley, dill or chives and enjoy immediately.

why do you say they need no babysitting? The air fryer instructions insist you toss them every few minutes - not a requirement when you are roasting in an oven!

Hi Timbo, When I say there is no need to baby sit, you really don't need to toss it every few minutes. You only shake them once to see if they are getting evenly done. When I am roasting in the oven too, I would check at least once. 🙂
