These Healthy Cauliflower Buffalo Wings are BAKED and not fried. They serve as a wonderful appetiser for BBQ or as a side in the dinner menu. Soft & Tender on the inside and crispy on the outside.

These Cauliflower Hot Wings are actually super simple too and involves very few ingredients! It can be spicy, but you can always add a little less of hot sauce for reduced heat!

I have got an Air fryer version of Cauliflower Hot Wings. They taste just as delicious as the Baked version.

HOW TO MAKE BAKED CAULIFLOWER WINGS { VEGAN }

TWO STEP PROCESS OF MAKING BUFFALO CAULIFLOWER WINGS

A Two Step process is involved in making these Baked Buffalo Wings Recipe. First, the Cauliflower florets are baked until cooked. Then comes the best bit – coating these baked florets with a Hot Sauce Glaze. You may as well use Franks Red Hot Sauce or your local in house store brand.

Step 1 : Dip the cauliflower florets into a batter mix and lay them separated on a baking tray. Bake it for 18-20 Minutes approximately.

Step 2 : Coat the baked florets in buffalo wings glaze and bake them again for  15- 20 minutes. Serve hot with an delicious ranch!

CAN I MAKE GLUTEN FREE BUFFALO CAULIFLOWER WINGS?

Certainly you can make gluten-free buffalo wings. Replace the plain flour in the recipe with Gluten Free Rice Flour or Chickpea flour or even Gluten free Oat Flour.

Cauliflower as a Vegetable has got a Love Hate Relationship for a lot of people.. But we certainly love them.

CAN I MAKE BUFFALO CAULIFLOWER WINGS RECIPE WITHOUT FLOUR?

You can also make Vegan Cauliflower Wings without flour too.. Just drizzle olive oil mixed with seasoning on to the cauliflower florets and bake the florets as usual.

Buffalo Cauliflower Wings is baked and not fried. This makes them absolutely healthy and you can enjoy them guilt free.  Use alternate flour suggestions and enjoy them gluten free too !!  { V-E-G-A-N}

Ingredients

  • 1 Large Head of Cauliflower separated into florets

Ingredients for Batter Mix

  • 1 Cup Plain Flour
  • 3/4 Tsp Chilli Powder / Paprika Powder
  • 1 Tsp Cumin Powder
  • 2 Tsp Garlic Powder
  • 3/4 Tsp Onion Powder
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • 1 Cup of Water { Add more if needed }

Ingredients for Buffalo Wings Glaze

  • 1 Cup Buffalo Hot Sauce
  • 3 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 Tbsp Honey *** Use Maple Syrup for Vegan Alternative

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 220 C. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and set it aside.
  • Wash the cauliflower head and cut them into florets. Approximately 4 Cups of florets.{ A little more or less won't harm }
  • In a small mixing bowl, add all the ingredients for batter mix and whisk them smooth. Batter mix should be thick enough to coat the florets well.
  • Dip the cauliflower florets individually into the batter mix, shake off any excess and place them on the parchment paper. Bake them for 18-20 minutes in total until cauliflower florets are cooked and a bit crispy. Turn the florets half way to cook uniformly.
  • Whilst the cauliflower wings are getting through their first bake, prepare the buffalo wings glaze. Mix Buffalo Hot Sauce, Olive Oil and Honey / Maple Syrup and set it aside.
  • Coat the baked cauliflower florets with the Buffalo Wings Glaze and toss it really well. Return the golden enveloped cauliflower florets to the baking sheet and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until crispy.
  • Serve these Crispy Healthy Buffalo Cauliflower Wings with your favourite ranch!

    My family loved it. I didn’t have enough buffalo sauce so I substituted it with about 1/2 taco sauce instead. It turned out good, I’ll make it again.

    Hi, just making these. My batter has run off the cauli and settled on the baking sheet. Any ideas to stop this next time?

      I’m really not sure why this has happened to your cauli. Most people who have tried it have got it bang on. May be you might need to add some cornflour to it, next time.
