Cake Crumble Chocolate Truffles

ABOUT CAKE TRUFFLES – CAKE BALLS RECIPE

What do you do with your leftover cakes? What do you with the cakes that you bake, fall apart? There is nothing to panic about absolutely !! Make Cake Crumble Truffles in a jiffy.

These cake balls happened after many baking fails in my kitchen!! And I am so proud these cake balls came to life. I have tried this Pound Cake Truffles, Madiera Cake Pops, Truffles with Birthday Cake and even Coconut loaf cake.

I am sure you can relate to the numerous baking failures in the kitchen too – My mini bundt cake wouldn’t unmould one of the days and I had to scoop the cake out.  I had almost collected a big ziplock bag of cake crumble.

The cake crumble truffle with leftover cake was so delicious. To put them to use, I stirred this cake crumbles in melted chocolate along with powdered sugar, condensed milk and rolled into walnut-sized balls!  These bliss balls made with crumbled cake were so tasty already.

I let them set in the fridge and then coated with melted chocolate.  Cake Balls were an Instant Hit at our home.

Now no more reason to worry about Bake Fails!! I get so happy when it happens.

You can make these cake balls in plenty, pack in sealed cellophane bags and hand it over as edible Christmas presents too.

INGREDIENTS

You will need only 6 Ingredients to make this Instant Chocolate Truffle Recipe.

Cake – I like to make this recipe with leftover cakes from bake fails or use Fresh Madiera Cake/ Pound Cake. Either of them works.

Condensed Milk or Evaporated Milk

Ground Almond is easily available at grocery stores in baking aisle.

Powdered Sugar or Icing Sugar – Make them at home. Place granulated sugar in a blender and process until you have a fine white powder.

Chocolate – Any of the chocolates would work well – Plain Chocolate, Milk Chocolate or Dark Chocolate.  My preference would be plain chocolate in the recipe.

For Dusting – Use Icing Sugar or Cocoa Powder

Optional Toppings for Cake Truffles

  • Chopped nuts like Pistachio, walnut, hazelnut
  • Melted Dark Chocolate
  • Candy Canes and Sprinkles
