INSTANT POT POPCORN RECIPE

This is literally one of my favorite ways to make Popcorn. You can make Microwave Popcorn as well as on the Stovetop too!!  The best part – It’s so easy to make and really cheap than the readymade store-bought popcorn.

QUICK VIDEO ON HOW TO MAKE POPCORN IN THE INSTANT POT

When we make Popcorn in Instant Pot for the family, everyone requests a different flavor. My daughter wants Caramel Popcorn, my son would like good old salty buttery popcorn and we like sweet and salty popcorn.

Isn’t that too much to ask?

So every time I make Popcorn at home, I am always prepared for new flavor requests. I enjoy fulfilling easy demands from the little ones too.

Made with simple ingredients, this popcorn is ready in almost no time!

Ingredients you’ll need

You will really need only 2 ingredients apart from Instant Pot, Glass Lid, Tea Towel, and a Spatula.

Coconut Oil – I use Unrefined Coconut Oil, especially because it has a high smoking point.  You can also use GHEE { Clarified Butter } as an alternative.

Popcorn Kernels – are easily available to buy. It costs a lot lesser when you make it at home, instead of buying microwave popcorn.

Salt – { Optional } While I like to season my popcorn with salt, I prefer to leave it out for this recipe.  The little members in my family, especially my daughter like new flavors all the time. So it is really easy to turn this POW Popcorn into WOW Popcorn!

Glass Lid – I do have an Instant Pot glass lid that is easily available on Amazon. However, you can use a Glass lid that fits well on the pot.

Tea Towel is handy to hold the inner pot in between and shake briefly.

Spatula – comes really handy to saute the kernels with oil.

Thanks for sharing. Are the measurements for using a 6qt? If so, do you think they could be increased if using an 8qt?

The measurements are for 6 qt. I would still say, stick to the same measurements.
