INSTANT POT POPCORN RECIPE
There are many ways to make Popcorn - stove top, microwave popcorn, in a popcorn maker, air fryer and more. However making INSTANT POT POPCORN is so quick and easy, it is my favourite method to make this healthy homemade snack.
My family love different flavours ranging from unsweetened, caramel to sweet and salt and salty buttery popcorn. So making a large batch of popcorn in the instant pot and then customising the flavors works like a charm always.

Ingredients you’ll need for Popcorn
- Coconut Oil: Use un refined coconut oil because it has a high smoking point, making it ideal for popping. Alternatively, you can use ghee (clarified butter). I don't recommend using vegrtable oil or olive oil.
- Popcorn Kernels: Easily available and cost-effective compared to microwave popcorn. Fresh popcorn kernels cook quicker and yield better results.
- Salt (Optional): While salt adds flavor, you can leave it out if you prefer to experiment with different seasonings. This makes it easy to customize the popcorn to everyone's taste.
- Glass Lid: An Instant Pot glass lid works well, but any glass lid that fits your pot will do.
- Tea Towel: Useful for holding the inner pot and shaking it briefly during popping.
- Spatula: Ideal for sautéing the corn kernels with oil.

Thanks for sharing. Are the measurements for using a 6qt? If so, do you think they could be increased if using an 8qt?
Sandhya Hariharan says
The measurements are for 6 qt. I would still say, stick to the same measurements.
