There's nothing quite like the taste of fresh homemade strawberry juice. Made with ripe, in season strawberries, it's a refreshing and healthy alternative to the bottled stuff you'll find in stores.

Fresh strawberry juice

Why should you make this fresh strawberry juice?

  • Homemade strawberry juice is quick and easy to make in under 10 minutes in a blender.
  • Fresh Strawberry juice is a healthy and delicious alternative to store-bought juice, free from added sugars and preservatives.
  • This refreshing juice recipe can be made with fresh or frozen strawberries, providing flexibility for busy schedules and allowing you to control the quality and freshness of the ingredients.
  • Packed with vitamin C, antioxidants, and fibre, strawberry juice can support overall health and well-being.
  • Customise your strawberry juice with add-ins and experiment with different flavour combinations to suit your taste preferences.
  • Enjoy this light and refreshing beverage on its own or use it as a base for smoothies, cocktails, and other recipes.
  • Start your day off right with a glass of homemade strawberry juice, a healthy and energising breakfast drink.

Ingredients & Substitutions

Ingredients
  • Strawberries - Choose fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavour. You can also use frozen strawberries if fresh ones are not available.
  • Sweetener - Use your preferred sweetener to balance the tartness of the strawberries. Sugar, maple syrup, and honey are all good options.
  • Water - This is needed to thin out the juice and achieve the desired consistency.
  • Lemon Juice - Adding a splash of lemon juice helps to brighten up the flavour of the juice and gives it a slight tang.
  • Optional Add-ins - You can experiment with different add-ins to enhance the flavour of your strawberry juice. Mint and ginger are great options to add some depth to the juice.

How to hull Strawberries super fast?

Hulling strawberries can be done quickly and easily using either of these two methods:

  1. Pairing Knife - Place the strawberries on a chopping board and use a sharp pairing knife to slice off the top of the berry. This method requires a steady hand and a bit of practice to remove the stem without wasting too much fruit.
  2. Strawberry Huller - A strawberry huller is a specialised tool designed to remove the stem and core of the strawberry with minimal waste. Simply insert the metal claws into the top of the strawberry and twist in a circular motion to pull out the stem and core. I have got a reel on instagram to show you how easy it is to use.

Hulling strawberries can be a breeze with the right tools and techniques. As someone who enjoys making a variety of strawberry recipes in season, I find that using the OXO Strawberry Huller is my go-to method. This convenient and time-saving gadget is not only child-safe, but it also minimises waste and makes the task of removing the stem and core of the strawberry a breeze.

How to make Strawberry Juice?

Making homemade strawberry juice is a breeze! My go-to recipe is to blend fresh strawberries, a sweetener of your choice (such as sugar, honey, or maple syrup), water, and a splash of lemon juice until it's smooth and silky.

Blender strawberry Juice

If you want a thicker or thinner consistency, just adjust the amount of water or strawberries. And if you're feeling adventurous, try adding in some mint or ginger for an extra pop of flavour.

Serve immediately with few ice cubes and mint leaves sprigs or chill strawberry juice in refrigerator for 1 or 2 hours before servings.Sip and enjoy the taste of your nutritious and revitalising strawberry juice.

How to serve strawberry juice

  • Serve it cold over ice and with fresh mint leaves as a refreshing beverage.
  • Use it as a base for smoothies, adding in other fruits, yogurt, and ice for a creamy and nutritious drink.
  • Mix it with sparkling water or soda for a fizzy and fruity mocktail.
  • Use it in cocktails to add a fresh and sweet element.

Storing Leftover Strawberry Juice

To store leftover strawberry juice, pour it into an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 2-3 days. Shake well before serving as separation may occur. If you plan to store it longer, freezing is also an option.

Can you freeze fresh strawberry juice?

Yes, you can freeze fresh strawberry juice for up to 6 months. It's a great way to preserve the juice for later use and ensure it doesn't spoil. Simply pour the juice into an airtight container, freezer bag or ice cube trays. . Label the container with the date and store it in the freezer.

Thaw the juice in the refrigerator or at room temperature before consuming. Note that the texture and flavour may be slightly affected after freezing and thawing.
