Cucumber Lassi

Cucumber Lassi or Cucumber Mint Lassi – is a simple, easy and quick yogurt drink made with cucumber, mint leaves and yogurt.It is also a delicious beverage that works great along with a sumptuous meal! Bamix Baking Set

We were recently sent this lovely bamix Baking Set in cream color and my first reaction was Just WOW! Ever since this handy kitchen gadget has been delivered, I have been testing them extensively.

The bamix are celebrating 60 years in the Industry. They have the first hand-held food processor, which is also the smallest food processor in the world with an impressively powerful motor.

This bamix Baking is all that you need in your kitchen right from chopping, mincing, pureeing, mixing, blending, whipping, grinding and many more. At the same time, operating this nifty gadget is just so easy.

The Baking set is made up of the bamix blender, SliceSy grater, grinder, jug and 2 beakers. The 4 versatile blades that comes along with the powder disc, makes it a complete set.

There are two color choices available with the Baking set – cream & black! However Colorline range or the Swizzline range has a variety of colors to choose from.

The 200W motor can produce nearly 17,000rpm. This is really powerful to blend the ingredients effortlessly. I could make my Cucumber Mint lassi in the beakers in a snap.  I have made Butternut squash soup in my electric pressure cooker and this blender was able to withstand the heat while blending this soup smooth. Isn’t that amazing.

bamix SliceSy comes with a selection of stainless steel blades that is able to slice, grind and mince efficiently.

Processor/Grinder is a handy tool that can chop the nuts, spices and herbs apart from being able to make some homemade curry paste too.

Its a known fact that Yogurt & Cucumber works great as a cooling agent during summer months.

What is Lassi?

Lassi is a popular Indian Yogurt based drink made with Yogurt and Water. It can be Sweet or Savoury.  Simple Savoury Lassi as such has many healthy benefits – It is great for aiding digestion, preventing stomach bloating and a good source of Probiotics.

We enjoy traditional Punjabi Lassi with almost all our Indian meals!

What Are The Ingredients That Goes In Easy Cucumber Lassi?

Cucumber Mint Lassi has got some really simple and basic ingredients needed for a lassi/ chaas.

Cucumber also known as Kheera.  If you love Cucumber, you have to try this Cucumber Raita recipe too.

Mint Leaves

Roasted Cumin Powder

Black Pepper Powder

Chaat masala add a delicious zing to the lassi

Green Chilli – If you like it spicer, add a chilli to add the heat. ( Optional )

HOW TO MAKE EASY LASSI?

You can make this Cucumber Mint lassi in a breeze in two ways – one using a Blender and the other using an immersion hand blender.

Blender  – Simply add all the ingredients in a blender jug and whizz until smooth.

Hand Blender – Our Bamix hand blender is going to be your new favourite. Just place all the ingredients in a large jug and blitz using the immersion blender until smooth.

Cucumber Lassi is a delicious Yogurt drink to accompany an Indian meal. It works great as a hydrating beverage in summer.

Equipment

  • Hand blender

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup cucumber peeled and cubed
  • 1 Cup Yogurt
  • 1/2 Cup water
  • Handful of mint leaves roughly chopped
  • 3/4 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Chaat masala  optional
  • 1 green chilli optional
  • Salt to taste
  • Mint leaves for garnishing

Instructions

  • Place all the ingredients in a jug and puree until until smooth with a hand blender. Taste and adjust salt to taste.
  • To serve, fill the glass with a few ice cubes and top it up with cucumber lassi and mint leaves for garnishing.

Notes

If you like it spicier, add the green chilli for making this beverage.
For a change, add a handful of coriander leaves too.
