ONE INGREDIENT WATER MELON JUICE
Have I ever told you Water melon has been one of my favourite summer fruit after Mango!! Ye This fruit has been my absolute favourite when I moved to Bangalore two decades ago. All the friends and family visiting home, would always be treated to a glass of chilled watermelon juice for sure, if not large slices. I even got a few cousins addicted to this hydrating fruit!!
Fast forward now, my daughter loves water melon slices and its her favourite fruit!! I am totally enjoying cutting chunks of watermelon for her!
Specially because WATERMELON HAS 92% WATER CONTENT! Just perfect to keep her hydrated in this weather. More than that, this fruit gives her extra dose of vitamins, antioxidants, and fiber.
HOW TO MAKE WATERMELON JUICE?
I can’t tell you how easy it is to make watermelon juice. In-fact you really don’t need an instruction for it.
Slice or Scoop the watermelon and place it in the blender. Blend it for 30 -40 seconds – And you have fresh water melon juice ready!
I like to enjoy the juice straight from the blender as it is, without any added sugar and ice too! But you can always strain the juice through a fine sieve, if your watermelon is seeded or pulpy/ frothy.
For extra flavors, add a squeeze of lemon juice, serve it with ice and mint sprigs..
THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND WITH THIS WATERMELON JUICE
Watermelon juice keeps fresh for up to 3-4 days in the refrigerator. It can also separate as it sits. Simply stir it with a spoon to combine and enjoy your chilled watermelon drink.
Strain the juice through a fine sieve, if the watermelon is seeded.
Sweeten the Juice with sugar or alternative sweeteners, if the watermelon is not sweet.
This watermelon juice is great to make watermelon granita, watermelon frose and my favourite Vodka Watermelon cocktail.
