This Dill Yogurt Sauce is packed with Greek yogurt, garlic, fresh dill, and lemon juice. Inspired by Mediterranean flavors, this yogurt dill dip is tastier than store-bought versions, with an irresistibly creamy texture.

I love simple, quick, no-cook sauces like sour cream and chive dip or sweet chili mayo. This small-batch, tzatziki-inspired yogurt dill sauce is just as easy. You only need 8 ingredients and 5 minutes to whip it up.
Honestly, it tastes so much fresher and better than any store-bought option, like Cava’s Yogurt Dill Dressing. Once you try it, you will know why I make them all the time. I've also included my secret step to Making Irresistibly Creamy Greek Dill Yogurt Sauce.
I’ve also tried making vegan dill yogurt sauce using coconut yogurt (from a UK brand I love), and it’s really nice too!

👩🏻🍳Top Tips
- I recommend using plain Greek yogurt. It gives the best flavor for this dill sauce. Avoid flavored yogurts like vanilla.
- For an authentic Mediterranean flavor, crush the garlic with a pinch of salt in a pestle and mortar before mixing it with the yogurt and dill. It really brings out the taste! I learnt this tip from my chef friend for making salad dressing.
📋Ingredients
Complete list of ingredients and amounts can be found in the recipe card below

- Greek Yogurt: I use Greek yogurt for its higher fat content, but you can swap with natural yogurt for a slightly lighter, less creamy version. Use a dairy-free yogurt for a vegan option.
- Fresh Dill: A key ingredient for that authentic flavor. You can substitute with dried dill, though I prefer fresh.
- Garlic: One large clove (or two small cloves) is enough. You can also use garlic powder or granules as a substitute.
- Olive Oil: Optional, but I love a drizzle on top, just like in my Instant Pot hummus.
- Optional Addition – Cucumber: To turn this creamy yoghurt sauce into a classic Greek tzatziki, simply add some grated cucumber. Totally optional, but delicious!

Very similar to the raita I make for my Indian food. I dont use garlic or dill. Normally use cumin and coriander. Will be interested to try this variation. Thank you.

Absolutely... give it a try... different from cucumber raita as there is garlic, lemon and dill 🙂
