About this Pineapple Juice recipe
I have been making Pineapple Juice at home for a very long time. It is so easy to make that I never thought, it is actually a recipe to document and share.
If you love juicing at home, do try Carrot Orange Juice, Apple Beet Carrot Juice, Watermelon Juice, Fresh Strawberry Juice and Orange Kiwi Juice
Made with pineapple cubes, water, and lemon juice – this juice is nothing short of deliciousness. I won’t be surprised if reach out for a second serving.
Sometimes the pineapples are sweet enough that you will not need a sweetener. Always taste and gauge if you need to add the sugar/honey.
Pineapples tend to have a lot of those little fibers that get in the way of smooth juice. Hence I always prefer to strain them before serving.
Fresh Juice made with Real Ripe Pineapples is loaded with tons of health benefits with the right amount of sweetness, a hint of tang, and tartness.
Thinking what else to make with pineapples – try Air fryer Pineapple, Pineapple Sweet chilli sauce or even Thai Pineapple fried rice.
WHY MAKE THIS RECIPE
It’s really easy to make at home and uses ingredients easily available, other than Fresh Ripe Pineapples.
This Fresh Juice recipe is adaptable. So you can feel free to add more fruits if you like or include ginger or basil for a refreshing combination. Sometimes the Pineapple is extra sweet and because of that may not need a sweetener in your juice.
Try this homemade pineapple juice today instead of supermarket carton-packed juice from concentrate. You’ll really love it as it tastes so fresh, refreshing, and instantly springs up to your mood. Also, it has no preservatives!
This fresh juice stays fresh for up to 24 hours in the refrigerator. Its best consumed the same day when it is prepared.
This Homemade Juice will definitely be a hit. You can double, triple, or even half the batch.
HEALTHY BENEFITS
This juice has so many Healthy benefits. Pineapples are low in calories in spite of their sweetness. It is rich in vitamins, enzymes, dietary fiber, and antioxidants. They are also known to boost the immune system, reduce the risk of cancer, and aid indigestion.
Did you know – 1 Cup of Pineapple Chunks contains only 74 calories and about 14g of Sugar. It’s Naturally Fat-Free, Cholesterol Free and low it Sodium too.
As much as this juice has health benefits, there are few health risks associated with it too. So always drink this juice in moderation! Also, remember to juice only Ripe Pineapple. Consuming Unripe Pineapples can lead to diarrhea and vomiting!
Ingredients
You will need
Pineapples – Fresh ripe pineapples are the key to the most delicious juice. I love to use OXO Pineapple Corer. With this, you really don’t need to peel or dice the pineapples separately. First cut the top and then place the corer on the pineapple. With the twist and turn action, you will have sliced pineapples ready to use. Really easy. Alternately Peel and core the pineapple. Then slice it or cut it into chunks.
Sugar / Honey – Add the sweetener according to the sweetness of the pineapple. I usually prefer to add about 2 tablespoons
Lemon Juice – Balances the flavors with its citrus flavor profile
Ginger ( optional ) is so good with its immune-boosting properties. Add a tsp of fresh ginger and the flavor of the juice is elevated to a whole new level.
How to Juice a Pineapple
It’s a pretty straightforward recipe to juice a pineapple. I like to make them in 2 ways – One with the Blender and Second Method using a Slow Juicer
Blender Method / Mixer Method
Add all the ingredients to the blender jar and process smooth. Strain and serve over ice and mint (if you fancy )
Slow Juicer Method
Add the Pineapples to the Slow Juicer and collect the juice. You don’t need to strain as the texture of the juice is smooth. But if you are like my kiddos who can nitpick, strain it one more time.
Mix in water, honey, lemon juice and serve.
