Instant Pot Garlic Noodles

About this Garlic Noodles Recipe

These Garlicky Noodles taste simply street style like - just how we like from the food trucks /cart vendor in Mumbai. The flavors in this recipe have an influence on Indo Chinese cuisine and we simply adore it.

Serve this One Pot Garlic Noodles on its own or serve it along with a side dish like Salt and Pepper Chips, Cauliflower Manchurian, or even Cauliflower wings.

This Instant Pot Garlic Noodles

  • ticks all boxes for deliciousness
  • is quick & easy. Ready in under 30 minutes
  • is VEGAN / VEGETARIAN
  • makes a great weeknight dinner on busy evenings.
  • requires just ONE -POT for cooking.  Mess free cooking and hassle free too.
  • requires no baby sitting when the noodles are cooking.

Our Quick & Easy Garlic Noodles requires 5 minutes of preparation, 10 minutes of pressure build up time, 5 minutes of cooking & QPR after 3 minutes This is exactly 23 minutes from scratch to dining table.

INGREDIENTS YOU WILL NEED FOR GARLIC NOODLES

You only need 7 ingredients for Instant Pot Noodles, excluding salt & water to make these delicious Garlicky noodles.

  • SPAGHETTI  – I prefer to use Spaghetti for making noodles. You can swap for Chings Hakka Noodles too!
  • GARLIC - Be generous with garlic for these noodles. You will need at least 2 Tablespoon minced garlic or ⅚ medium garlic cloves to get the best flavours.
  • SESAME OIL - adds a lot of flavour to the noodles and is one of my favourite choice for asian cooking.
  • SESAME SEEDS - White Sesame Seeds adds great texture to these noodles.
  • SPRING ONIONS - Add the Spring greens for garnishes!
  • SOY SAUCE - I love the addition of Soy Sauce to my Noodles. You will find Light Soy or Dark Soy in the Asian Isle of any grocery stores. I prefer Dark Soy as they render deep flavors and color to the dish.
  • HOISIN SAUCE USE Hoisin Sauce or Veg Oyster Sauce in this recipe. They add great flavours to Chinese dishes.
  • SALT - Use sea salt or table salt to season the noodles well. Do remember Soy Sauce also adds salty-ness, so consider adding it accordingly. Use garlic salt for extra kick of garlic flavours.
  • WATER or VEG STOCK - Depending upon whats handy, I like to add water or stock to my noodles.

HOW TO MAKE GARLIC INSTANT POT NOODLES { PRESSURE COOKER }

Making PERFECT Instant Pot noodles are one of the easiest things to happen. It’s all about adding the ingredients in order and pressure cooking time. The key is also to Quick Pressure Release and not Natural Pressure Release because we really do not want to dig in mushy overcooked noodles.

Prepare the sauce in a bowl by combining soy sauce, hoisin sauce and water or just add the ingredients for the sauce one after the other to the IP and stir to combine into a smooth sauce.

To prepare InstantPot Garlic noodles, press Sauté on your Instant Pot. When they are hot, add oil, garlic and saute until a bit of raw smell is eliminated.

Add the prepared sauce, spaghetti & salt to the pot.

Press the noodles gently with a back of your ladle, until the noodles are just covered with water.

Secure the lid, seal the valve and pressure cook HIGH for 5 minutes. Quick Pressure release the steam after 3 minutes. If you like it al dente, pressure cook for just 5 minutes.

Open the lid after the valve drops and carefully stir the noodles and the with the tongs. There is a high possibility that some liquid may be left. But don't worry, they will get absorbed as you stir the noodles.

Dish out the noodles into bowls with tongs. Garnish with sesame seeds and spring greens. Serve hot!

Just made this, it's so good, will definitely be a regular, I made half the amount as just for one and cooked it for a couple of minutes longer as I used quite a heavy spaghetti. Perfect

Does this recipe double well? What, if any, alterations would I need to make for 16 Oz noodles?

This is comfort here! I'm usually reluctant to mix up soy and hoisin sauces but you have done such a fantastic job - I would love to slurp on a big bowl of this! yum!

Hi- I think I made it wrong, I'm new to instant pot. My noodles were too Al Dente. The instructions say cook for 5 and but release after three minutes. I just came back to this page and i think it now meant cook them for the full 5 minutes and then let them stay in the pot while the steam releases for 3 minutes? Is that right?

Hi Patti, Thank you for your message. Yes You are right - Cook for a full 5 minutes and then NPR after 3 minutes. Oh don't worry- we all have our first's! So in total it cooks for approximate 23 minutes or so.
